Owner Earl Higgs gained a fascination for the trucking industry as a young child admiring his father's hard work and dedication to truck driving. He enjoyed many summer breaks traveling with his dad to pick-up and deliver loads. Through those trips, he gained an abundance of knowledge, thus a passion for driving trucks was born. The values Earl's father instilled in him as a child both in and out of the big rig is what continues to drive Earl's mission of excellent customer service and safe transporting of all freight entrusted in E&D Systems' services.

E&D Systems, LLC is an independently owned and operated carrier based out of Lancaster, TX, with over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry transporting general freight. Earl has a goal of growing his small fleet in order to serve additional customers and provide them with the same reliable, affordable, safe, secure and punctual transportation service as his current customers.

Owner-Operator Earl Higgs started his trucking career as a company driver for USA Truck Inc. He was later afforded better driving opportunities and benefits as a company driver with Swift Transportation. He remained a loyal employee of Swift Transportation for 11 years. He received several safe driving awards during his tenure with the organization.

In 2017 he made the life altering decision to purchase a truck for himself and start his own trucking business. E&D Systems, LLC was officially formed and registered in the state of Texas in 2018. Shortly after the formation of E&D Systems, he partnered as a trusted contracted owner operated carrier with Blue & Grey Transport Company and then with Landstar Systems Transport Company, for a combined total of 8 years before acquiring his own Motor Carrier Authority.
